Unitarian Universalist Service Committee

The Unitarian Universalist Service Committee is a nonsectarian organization that advances human rights and social justice in the United States and around the world. Welcoming Websites helped UUSC develop a strategy for its website, and implemented this strategy using a variety of standard and custom-developed Drupal modules. This project also included the integration of a new logo and graphical design into the UUSC's web presence, the addition of ecommerce functionality powered by Verisign's Payflow Pro technology, and interactive e-activism powered by Convio.

Physicians for Human Rights

Physicians for Human Rights is an international human rights agency which mobilizes health professionals to advance health, dignity, and justice and promotes the right to health for all. Lightbulb First helped PHR organize and consolidate its online resources, and assisted the organization with the migration of its International Forensic Investigation Course to a Drupal code base. The forensic course site was launched in February 2008.

Jewish Women's Archive

The Jewish Women's Archive developed and screened the award-winning documentary film Making Trouble in 2007. Making Trouble tells the story of six of the greatest female comic performers of the last century. Welcoming Websites developed a Drupal-based administrative interface to assist JWA with the day-to-day content management for the film's website. The new interface was launched in November 2007, and helps the organization manage content related to press clippings, reviews, and screenings of the film.

The Media Consortium

The Media Consortium is a network of 45 leading progressive independent journalism organizations. The consortium makes connections across its member organizations, and builds infrastructure to amplify the voice of progressive media. In spring of 2008, Lightbulb First launched the website for Live from Main Street, a series of five town hall events located in cities throughout the United States, with each event examining a national issue through a local lens. In addition to educating citizens about issues affecting the 2008 elections, the project's goal is to facilitate cooperation between progressive media organizations on a joint project.

Unitarian Universalist Ministers Association

The Unitarian Universalist Ministers Association is a membership organization for Unitarian Universalist ministers, candidates, and retired ministers. Welcoming Websites helped the UUMA transfer its existing site to a new Drupal-based site featuring a wealth of features which will help members find and share important information. The site launched in spring of 2008.

Simbiotic Software

Simbiotic Software produces inquiry-driven virtual laboratories for biology courses, for college and K-12 instruction. The company's website allows visitors to review its product offerings in a variety of different ways, grouping products into suites and collection and categorizing them by subject matter, grade level, and suggested courses. The site also allows visitors to create custom collections and request further information about those collections. Lightbulb First launched the company's new website in May 2008.

techPresident

techPresident is a widely-respected blog which covers the use of technology by Presidential candidates. Lightbulb First worked with techPresident to fine-tune its innovative charts which track the popularity of each candidate on sites like Facebook and Technorati. Lightbulb First also helped develop Javascript-powered badges which allow users to display these statistics on their own blogs. Moreover, Lightbulb First helped develop techPresident's eye-catching Politickr application, which aggregates blog posts, emails, Flickr photos, and YouTube videos from all of the candidates onto a single page.
