The Tibet Poverty Alleviation Fund has launched a new online store, the Dropenling Tibet Handicraft Development Center, a social enterprise dedicated to improving the lives of Tibetan artisans throughout Tibet by selling only unique, high quality handicrafts made in Tibet, by Tibetans. Lightbulb First developed and launched the online store for TPAF, using the Drupal 5.x platform and the Drupal eCommerce module.
The new online store allows customers to browse the extensive Dropenling catalog, complete with beautiful product photographs and detailed specifications of measurements, materials and product weights. Customers make payments using PayPal, allowing TPAF to process orders quickly and efficiently.
The use of Drupal allows TPAF to manage all transactions and all products in its catalog effeciently and quickly. Moreover, the system will be an excellent platform for extensions to existing site functionality, and will help the organization evolve and improve its online presence in the future.
