The Media Consortium

The Media Consortium is a network of 45 leading progressive independent journalism organizations. The consortium makes connections across its member organizations, and builds infrastructure to amplify the voice of progressive media. In spring of 2008, Lightbulb First launched the website for Live from Main Street, a series of five town hall events located in cities throughout the United States, with each event examining a national issue through a local lens. In addition to educating citizens about issues affecting the 2008 elections, the project's goal is to facilitate cooperation between progressive media organizations on a joint project.
