Lightbulb First wishes you a happy, safe, and peaceful new year.
We had a wonderful year in 2007! Among our accomplishments:
- Established the company in March.
- Began working for a wide variety of innovative organizations, including the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee, the Diga Aí social network, techPresident, the Unitarian Universalist Ministers Association, the Technology and Entrepreneurship Center at Harvard, Physicians for Human Rights, the New England Clean Energy Council, OpenLeft, and the Harvard Class of 2003.
- Launched a number of exciting websites, including Excelimmune, UU Mass Action, the Bycatch Reduction Database of the Consortium for Wildlife Bycatch Reduction.
- Provided the back-end for the re-launch of Making Trouble.
- Upgraded the website for Summit of Africa's Young Business Leaders.
- Began weekend front-page blogging for MyDD, with a focus on progressive entrepreneurship.
- Submitted a business plan to the BlogPac entrepreneur contest in July. Although the plan did not win the competition, it was cited favorably in a follow-up blog post.
- Attended a panel on "Creating a culture of giving" at YearlyKos in August, and discussed the need for more entrepreneurship in the progressive movement.
- Established a division for religious organizations in September, known as Welcoming Websites.
Even better, we have a lot in store for 2008! Stay tuned for some of the following new services and initiatives:
- Maintenance plans which will keep your Drupal engines and modules up-to-date
- Wordpress implementations and Facebook application development
- New content for our website, including a client list and more detail on our services
- A variety of web initiatives to support our Unitarian Universalist clients
- A small-enterprise client relationship management and time/billing system, powered entirely by Drupal. We will be using this system in-house, and hope to release it as a Drupal installation profile.
We will also be conducting extensive outreach to progressive innovators and entrepreneurs, as part of our long-term efforts to build sustainable progressive businesses.
Thank you for all your support this year! We have thoroughly enjoyed working with all of our clients this year, and we look forward to new projects and initiatives in 2008.
